Visit to Chofu and Shimonoseki

I'd heard a lot about the cherry bloosom season (Sakura) before coming to Japan and was looking forward to experiencing it for myself. It is truly beautiful - many streets and parks are lined with trees in full blossom and it feels magical. I now know why Japanese people get so exited about this time of year... This was a visit to Chofu yesterday

Next stop was Akamajingo - a famous shrine in Shimonoseki...

Just leaving UK for our visit to you. This blogsite is fantastic and has made us so enthusiastic. We can't wait to experience it all. Make sure the cherry blossom is still out!!! Looks wonderful and it seems we have chosen the right time to visit. See you Friday. xx

Great photos! I made it out to Chofu on Monday, and the sakura were really great. We should definitely head out to Chofu when we have time. It looks like a great place to explore.
